Yin Yoga Teacher Training
What you will learn
You’ll learn how to become not just any old yin teacher, but a Yoga Reloaded yin teacher.
Learning all the up to the moment developments in research and science.
All the beauty and wonder of Daoism and it’s roots.
Rich history and philosophy from teachers who are wanting to further their training and love for all that is yoga.
Module 1 Yin Yoga
On completion on the full course, participants will receive a 50hrs Continuing Professional Development, Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Certificate.
This can be used to build a 200hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training Qualification with Yoga Reloaded.
This course is for qualified Yoga Teachers.
(You may do this course out of your own interest if your not a teacher but it will not qualify you to teach.)
Below you can see what will be covered in this first 50 hour module.
Anatomy and Physiology a Functional Approach
-The 14 skeletal segments of the body
-The Mechanics of stretching
-The effect of tension and compression on ligaments, tendons muscles and bones.
-Understanding fascia and the live connective tissue network.
-Skeletal variation and understanding functional movement over aesthetics.
Practice
- The Archetypal Yin Poses and family. Their functions and variability.
- Learning the value of the echo of the pose through rebounds and transitions.
- Meditation to learn the practice of surrender, acceptance and being still.
- The art of Wei Wu Wei
History, Philosophy and the Roots of Yin
- The history of Yin Yoga
- Daoism
- Buddhism in relation to yin
- Yin and Yang Philosophy
Teaching Methodology
- Learn how to sequence and teach a Yin practice based on a functional anatomy/target area approach
- Learn to safely encourage psychosomatic practice in yourself and for those you teach.
- Learn to teach an appreciation of individuality & physical uniqueness.
- Learn contraindications to Yin practices and how to modify sequences safely and thoughtfully to the individual.

(This course is comprised of 3 weekends total)
